analog to digital space
This project developed around the need to house visiting professors at the Savannah College of Art and Design. These professors come from 7 divisions of study ranging from Fine Arts to Digital Media. The design focus then evaluated the different spatial requirement for these 7 divisions and what would make the ideal space for a visiting professor to live, teach, and create. Lighting became the dominant influence on the form of the building. Indirect natural light was reserved for things like painting, while artificial lighting was used for the digital arts.
